What it does

The commission calculator takes six inputs: representative, period, gross sales, refunds or returns, commission rate and other adjustment. It subtracts refunds from gross sales to get eligible sales, which never drop below zero, multiplies by the rate, and then adds the adjustment. The result updates as you type, with a one-line explanation of the math underneath. Save commission record stores the entry in this browser, and Print summary gives the rep a paper copy. Every saved record can be edited, exported to CSV with your other records, or included in a JSON backup.

How to use it

  1. Open the commission calculator.
  2. Enter the representative’s name and the period, such as September 2026.
  3. Enter gross sales and any refunds or returns for the period.
  4. Enter the commission rate as a percentage.
  5. Add an adjustment for a bonus, or a negative number for a deduction.
  6. Save the commission record or print a summary.

Worked example

A rep sells $12,500.00 in a month and $750.00 is refunded, leaving $11,750.00 in eligible sales. At a 7.5% rate that earns $881.25, and a $25.00 bonus brings the commission due to $906.25. In another month a rep sells $4,000.00 with no refunds at 10% and has a $50.00 deduction (−50), so the commission due is $400.00 − $50.00 = $350.00.
