How to sign PDF
- Press Open a PDF and choose the document to sign.
- Choose Sign PDF in the left menu.
- Press Draw signature, sign in the box, then press Use signature, or press Choose signature image to pick a PNG, JPG or WebP.
- Press Signature above the page, then click where the signature should go. Drag it to move it or drag a corner to resize it.
- Add a Date or Text if you need one, press Done, then press Download PDF ↓.

Is this a legally binding digital signature?
It is a visual signature, meaning an image placed on the page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature. Matching Sox PDF does not give legal advice, so check what the recipient requires.
What signature image formats work?
PNG, JPG and WebP images up to 10 MB and under 24 megapixels. A photo or scan of your signature on white paper works: the white background is removed and the image is trimmed for you.
Is my signature stored anywhere?
Only if you choose. With Keep my signature in this browser ticked, the cleaned-up signature image is saved in this browser on this device so it is ready next time. Nothing is uploaded. Press Forget saved signature to delete it, or untick the box to use it only until you close the tab.
Can I move the signature after placing it?
Yes. Drag the signature to move it, or drag a corner to resize it; it keeps its shape. Press Done to add it to your PDF. Undo last change removes the last thing you added.
