About this tool

How to do it
- Open the QR generator with the WiFi tab selected.
- Type the network name (SSID) exactly as it appears in your phone's Wi-Fi list — capitals and spaces count.
- Type the password, then choose the security type: WPA / WPA2 (most home routers), WEP (older equipment), or None for an open network.
- Tick Hidden network only if your router does not broadcast its name.
- Check the preview, then download PNG or SVG and print or frame it near where guests will use it.
- Test it: scan with a phone that is not already on the network and confirm it joins.
Good to know
- The code uses the common
WIFI:T:…;S:…;P:…;;format. Special characters such as semicolons, commas, colons, quotes, and backslashes in the name or password are escaped automatically. - Anyone who can see the code can join your network, the same as if they could read the password. For guests, consider using your router's separate guest network.
- If you change your Wi-Fi password, the old printed code stops working. Make a new one in a few seconds.

No. The Wi-Fi QR code is created on your device in your browser. Your network name and password are not uploaded or stored by us.

Most current iPhone and Android cameras recognise the standard Wi-Fi QR format and offer to join. Older phones may need a QR scanner app.
